What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated close to $14 million to the ASPCA and helped support nearly 1,000 pet adoption events, resulting in more than 11,500 adoptions to date.

Environment

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Over a decade ago, Subaru became the first U.S. auto manufacturer to become zero-landfill, and now, in collaboration with the National Park Service and the National Parks Conservation Association, Subaru is leveraging that same environmental expertise to help the National Parks reach zero-landfill too.

Community

In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

Subaru and Meals on Wheels America worked together to make volunteering easier, by launching a tool called the Meals on Wheels Online Volunteer Drive.

Health

We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.

East Hills Donation Keeping Patients Warm  –  Jaime L

East Hills Donation Keeping Patients Warm

East Hills Subaru joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to deliver blankets, craft kits and messages of hope from their customers to patients at North Shore University Hospital. David Jacoby from East Hills Subaru and Tricia Reisig Subaru district manager met with the nurse manager and clinical nurse specialist of the oncology unit at the hospital. They shared how comforting it is for the patients they treat to receive such a beautiful gift and were so thrilled to begin giving them to patients that very day. In addition, David also shared his mission connection, stating that his father was treated at that very hospital 20+ years ago for a diagnosis of AML/ ALL. While his father is no longer here, he stated being so happy to be giving back to the hospital and to the patients where his loved one was once cared for.

Subaru and NWF Loves the Earth

It has been a dream of our to create a truly fabulous garden for our school. We started out small by planting annuals during the spring to add some color to our existing green space. It quickly became apparent, that in order to make gardens a bonafide learning experience, much more had to be done! We set out on a two year journey for resources and ideas. Our dream came true this year when we were awarded a Captain Planet Foundation grant. This gave our school resources including raised beds, edible planting a, soil, and a cooking cart. We were then additionally blessed when East Hills Subaru awarded us materials that we consider icing on the cake.

Thank you Subaru East Hills!!!  –  Natalie R

Thank you Subaru East Hills!!!

On behalf of the National MS Society and those living with MS, I thank East Hills Subaru for their commitment to ending multiple sclerosis (MS). Through the Share the Love campaign, over $115,000 has been donated since 2015 to the National MS Society, Long Island Chapter. The funds make a huge difference in the lives of those living with MS and their families. The funds support services and research to ensure people affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what's been lost, and end MS forever. The National MS Society acknowledges the East Hills Subaru staff in their incredible efforts to support the Society's work. Because of this donation, we celebrated the recent FDA approval of the first ever therapy for progressive MS. Because of the donation, people living with MS, like my cousin, has an option and more connections to resources than ever before. Thank you!

A picture says a thousand words

As often as I tried to write a message in the words of the dealership, the attached picture is of a note written by the the son of a recent customer. This letter was sent to Mr. Thomas Doll, President and COO of Subaru of America. Mr. Doll sent a nice note to East Hills Subaru acknowledging our commitment to the Subaru "Love Promise" and telling us to keep up the good work.

East Hills Subaru and Long Island LLS  –  Jamie G

East Hills Subaru and Long Island LLS

Local LLS staff met with David Jacoby from East Hills Subaru in NY to deliver care cards with message of hope and blankets to cancer patients at North Shore University Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY. Unfortunately, David’s father passed away from leukemia, but it was one of his motivations for being a part of the Loves to Care program with Subaru. The hospital staff shared that patients may be at the hospital for longer periods of time and these blankets make their stay so much more comfortable. They said that something as small as a blanket really does go such a long way and helps the patients stay positive. The hospital was touched by the donation and extremely excited to begin distributing blankets to patients. On behalf of North Shore University Hospital and LLS, thank you Subaru for brightening our patients’ day and giving them hope of good days to come!
