Giving Back Never Felt So Good - East Hills S

A few years ago, East Hills Subaru played a big part in keeping an employee alive during a stroke event that occured onsite. St. Francis Hospital was contacted, an ambulance arrived and took this stroke victim to their hospital to be revived and, subsequently, convalesced. Not forgetting this experience, East Hills Subaru honored the work performed by the entire team at St. Francis by donating blankets to the St. Francis Infusion Center. At the Center, patients receive intravenous drugs, as part of their ongoing cancer treatments, and often get cold while sitting during the infusion. Pictured is most of the team from the Infusion Center along with Phil Wolhar, chief marketing officer, and David Jacoby, general manager, both of East Hills Subaru.

Blanket Donation at the INN - East Hills S

On Thursday, November 11th, East Hills Subaru donated much-needed blankets to the Mary Brennan INN, Hempstead NY. We had the pleasure of meeting Jason Tessler, Donations Manager, who really conveyed the Inn's mantra, "Serving Hungry and Homeless Long Islanders With Dignity, Respect and Love." It felt so good to make this donation. After speaking with Jason, we know there will be a great need for these blankets and we cannot wait to participate again next year! Pet Adoption Event at East Hills Subaru - Diane A

East Hills Subaru held a pet adoption event on Saturday, October 26, 2021. They partnered with North Shore Animal League America to make this event a success -- and they're glad they did. The team from North Shore was spectacular. Not only did they walk the property to identify where they could park their mobile unit days before the event, but on the day of the event, they brought with them about 12 team members to help people with their adoptions. The North Shore Animal League team, plus their mobile unit -- which housed 13 dogs and puppies, made the day a success. You can see by the photos it was crowded at the mobile unit and throughout our showroom. Customers lined up 15 minutes before the mobile unit officially opened. Some customers had gotten pre-qualified for adoption so all they had to do was select a dog -- and select they did. It didn't take long for most of the dogs to get adopted. A few of the families adopted their first dogs. "Wow! What an emotional experience. Kids were tearing. Parents were tearing. It was great to be a part of this," said David Jacoby, General Manager. We are so grateful for the North Shore Animal League America and their team. We look forward to working together in the future.

East Hills Subaru Donates to Westbury High School - Phil W

During the month of August, 2021, East Hills Subaru donated $3,000 to Westbury High School during the Subaru Loves Learning program administered through AdoptAClassroom.org. This program directs funding to Title 1 status schools, or, those considered to be high-needs. "We are so pleased to be part of this program. Realizing teachers come out of their own pockets for a lot of teaching supplies, it is our hope this donation makes a big impact with at-risk students and provides them with the tools and a learning roadmap for them to be successful in whatever they choose to do," said Ken Brodlieb, Chairman, East Hills Auto Group. The donation is administered through AdoptAClassroom.org which maintains relationships with 30 education specialty and office supply vendors, including Staples, Lakeshore Learning, Scholastic, etc. Through this program, teachers will purchase school supplies, technology, furniture, robotics, art supplies, musical instruments, STEM tools, and more, all for the benefit of the children. "We are so appreciative! We will be using the proceeds of this generous donation to support our special education students, teachers and classrooms of supplies and materials for the 2021/2022 school year. Again, thank you so much. Truly, truly appreciated," stated David Zimbler, Principal, Westbury High School.

Timing is Everything - Thea Katrina C

Thank you to East Hills Subaru for my first car in over 20 years! The service both shopping for the car with Kezia and checking out with the business manager and Kezia was excellent. I appreciate transparency and feel that I got that at East Hills compared to other dealerships. Not having owned a car in a while, I appreciate all the time they took to explain the infotainment and safety features. ~ Thea Katrina & Rigor
